Built a Boxer!!!

As promised by Dh we went to build a bear on Sunday and I got a Boxer I had a blast Her name is Lucy. She is a fawn, dressed in a black leather jacket, leather mini skirt with a pink t-shirt with pincess written on it. I love her. Lucy doesn't sound like most boxers you know, Lucy roars like a lion. The sound piece for a dog sounded like a little yappy dog, so Lucy roars. She has a birth certificate, heart and a bar code in case I lose her. They even sang me happy b-day!!! That part was rather embarrassing. I got happy b-day sung to me w/2 7yr olds :o What a great time. We are going to get one for Odin. We are going to put a different sound in each foot. It will be like 4 toys in one appicon

How Cute! Did they have brindle boxers?? I want one now, ! I would love to get one for lucky, but he is viscious to stuffed animals..he likes to chew the eyes off, and he always inevitably pulls the stuffing out! He just "loves" them too much!

I got one the first day they came out (how sad is that?). LBR did an educational booth outside both local Build a Bears to educate people on rescue and the pet overpopulation crisis. It was a lot of fun.

My boxer's name is Legacy and she has the yappy little dog sounds (darn, should have made her roar too). Her heart was dedicated to a rescue boxer female (Emily) that we had lost that same day.

It was a fun time and I highly recommend all you boxer addicts go get one. BaB is very rescue friendly, and they were great to work with. They even gave us a boxer to raffle at each location the day of the event.

If you look online, for those with more than one boxer furbaby, they have a set sold as two, in a little puppy bed - called "best buddy boxers"

I got one on the first day as well, and I spent the entire time laughing!!! I dressed mine in the very James-Bondish outfit and named him after Andy.

Maiya's Birthday Party

We took 15 kiddos to Maiya's (our 8/9 yr old daughter's) birthday party at a build-a-bear workshop and guess what? They ALL love Bongo (our boxer) and all of them chose the boxer. God bless them but it cost us an extra 100 bux. Much fun tho!!!

How sad is this? I know that no one who "loves" me will think to get me a build-a-bear boxer - so I sent my sister in law $40 to have her and her boys (my dear nephews) make me one. THey live 4 hours away in the big city - and they have a store there. It's just one of those things I decided I didn't care if no one did it for me - I am going ot get myself one - one way or the other!!

I have 4 nieces and 1 on the way (adopting from China!) and 2 nephews...I think my sisters and brothers would be mad if I went to make myself a build-a-bear and didn't get my nieces/nephews one!
Maybe I could just keep it on the down-low OR I could ask my hubby to get my one for our 1 year anniversary coming up on 9-11!
