Building Kennel?

Hello all, dont take me as a bad person but i was wondering how to build a kennel in the back yard. I have a 4 month old brindle female and she sleeps inside but whenever no one is home shes outside. so lately shes been getting in trouble and getitng whatever is on top of the trashcan and pulling it out, and getitng anything she can get into in the back yard. im a 17yo student and so when i go to school(which is 3days a week) she goes outside, and my mother has been really on me lately. She wasnt really in for the whole dog thing so i have to keep my responsibilitys up. so i was wondering how i could build a fenced kennel in the bakc yard.i would appreciate it thanx allot and please dont think im a bad person cause shes outside during the day

First off I notice that you asre in S. California. MAKE SURE YOUR BABY HAS SHADE and LOTS of fresh COOL water. In reality it probably is not a good idea to keep her outside for extended periods but with the proper precautions it can be done adequately. I agree, you have to keep your end of the bargain, maybe enlist someone to help you with building a fence ( renting a post hole digger is inexpesnive and you can get fence material from home depot decently inexpesive!!) then get a dog house for shade and some sort of auto waterer..... Is your puppy crate training......? Perhaps you mom would mind letting her out a few times a day & putting her back into her crate ??? so she isn't having to watch her every minute ???...Just a thought
