Goodmorning BoxerWorld,
First off I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome as I am new member. So I just got Bubba, 10 week old male. When I brought him home he was full of energy, eating Nutro Ultra Puppy and 7 1/2lbs at 9 weeks. After a few days home he stopped eating and was tired all day also started having diarhhea. A stool sample confirmed he had Giardia virus. He is on medication and was doing better, eating and playing until two days ago. Now he has been sleeping all day and won't really eat anything. His pooh looks fine and he has one day left on his medicine (8 days). While he was sick I fed him boiled chicken and white rice then started mixing in some Nutro which the first day he ate. I feed him threee times a day 1/2 cup. The past two days he has been very sleepy and only eating about 1/4 cup if any at all. Yesterday I mixed in some Beneful Beef wet food and he loved it but this moring he hardly ate anything. I know this time is an important growing stage and he needs alot of protein. He looks really skinny and is about 8 lbs now. I am going to get some Canidae food today. Any ideas on how to feed him? Am I changing foods to rapidly? Could he be so tired from lack of nutrition? Any info would be very comforting. Thanks Cousin Joe

I'd take him back to the vet right away! It could be anything causing him not to eat

Thanks for the replies. It is comforting to have other opinions, especially being a first time dog owner. Well Bubba seems to be back to normal. The vet said he was probrably tired from the medicine. I have started feeding him Canidae and he loves it. He is now eating three times a day, 1/2 cup each time. Drinking plenty and full of energy. He has a vet appointment on Thursday for another faccination. I think he is going, no I know he is going to be ok. Thanks again. Talk to everyone soon.
