Bruno Doesn't Bark

Just wondering if Boxers are supposed to be barkers? Bruno is almost 15 months and he doesn't bark. He barks at my husband if he comes in the house with a hat or sunglasses on, but not any other time. I have a friend who has an older Boxer and he barks ALL THE TIME. Just wondering if there's something I should be worried about. He does whimper when he needs to go potty and he will growl when playing rough with my husband but that's it. Never at the kids or anyone who comes hope.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Tyler sits at the window all day long and never makes a sound. The only times he barks are when someone is at the door or if he is trying to get another dog to play with him (kind of a frusteration bark). We love that he is so quiet. We didnt hear him bark until he was about 6 months old. There is another boxer in our neighborhood that barks all the time. I think it's an individual boxer thing and nothing to be concerned about.

I would agree that it's a an individual thing. Dieter doesn't bark much, either. He'll bark once at a squirell or rabbit before he gives chase, and he'll bark once when the doorbell rings, but that's all the barking he does. I'm grateful he's not much of a barker -- less noise for us and no annoyed neighbors!

I don't have much of a barker either- just when someone comes to the door.
Then it's a madhouse.
