Brando does the same thing Brutus does (Tina 29) and I do the same thing for Brando. I let him suck on the vacuum hose extension, and his tongue will make that weird sucking noise and his jowls get all caught in it and he just has the best time! Brando barks at the vacuum and will not leave me alone until I let him get kisses from the Eureka. Humph! However, for those of you whose animals are tolerant of the machine, it's a GREAT way to get rid of all that fur they shed!cool2icon

Stick tool mania

:p Otto has always been crazy for stick tools...try raking the leaves and he's all over the place re-spreading them all back to where they were!! I think he resents it when I sweep since I'm taking away anything he just hadn't noticed yet...he gets into the sweepings and then wears them.....when he was little he used to come out from under the bed with a big Santa face:D :D :D
Like the rest I have to put Otto out or in another room to clean or it only gets worse.

Has anyone noticed the "gotta get that leaf" behavior? It's soooooo annoying when we're out for a walk and he'll catch a glimpse of a leaf or piece of litter scittting along the road and blammmmo you've got bursitis!! It's like his life depends on catching that thing even if a semi is comming! What a dork. I just have to check the wind now to see if "its safe" to walk him.

I don' t think it is indicative of a deep seated behavioral problem. My male, D'Artagnan would go crazy after any cleaning tool. I finally was able to get to the point in our obedience training that I could get him to sit-stay while I did my chores. It wasn't 100% perfect, but he did well.

D'Art and Helmut both enjoyed going after the leaf blower. I'll never forget the day that Helmut got his mouth over the mouth of the blower and his whole face blew up like a balloon. Those jowls were just flying around! :)
