This morning I let Brinks out of his kennel to go outside and go potty. He normally goes pee right away and pees for quite a while since he has been holding it in all night. This morning he did his normal squat, but nothing came out for about hte first ten seconds. After that it started dripping and then gradually the flow increased, but still not as heavy as normal. I brought him in and he acted fine so I took him to the doggy park. He played fine there but when we got home he threw up twice. Could his lack of urine and throwing up be connected? He has thrown up before after playing vigourously so maybe I am just paranoid. Any ideas? I have a vet appointment scheduled for next Wed for his six month check up, do I need to call and get one sooner? Any advice/ideas would be appreciated. Thanks guys-

It could just be a case where he was so desperate to pee that when he could he had trouble relaxing his muscles so that he could go. He could also have a UTI. I doubt that the throwing up and the lack of pee are related. I would keep a close eye on him and if anything else seem out of order take him to the vet on Monday.

Sometimes Scrapper has trouble "getting it started" because he's been holding it and not wanting to get up out of his comfy place. It might take him a while to get going and then finish. I also don't think the throwing up is related. But keep an eye on him and if you think he's not up to his normal self, take him in to be sure; I agree the next most likely thing would be a urinary infection.
