Boxer Buddy
Hi! We have been incredibly careful about chocolate and other toxic foods to dogs, but somehow Brinks (5 mos) found one of those tiny individual bite Milky Way bars. I found him licking the wrapper, so I'm assuming there was chocolate in it and he got that, too. I'm trying not to panic, since it was a small amount, but I don't want to under react, too. He had a major bout of energy about 15 minutes after I think he ate it, then settled down to nap. I called the vet, and the tech didn't seem concerned at all. My kids are in tears bc they think he could die. Should I be doing anything else, or do you think it was a small enough amount? Milky ways are only coated in chocolate, aren't they? He weighs about 35 lbs. now. Advice anyone? Thanks!
