Bring puppy home

We will be picking up our new baby March 1st and we have to drive 2 and 1/2 hours to pick up our puppy(the breeder is meeting us half way). My question is what do we need to have to make the trip comfortable and safe for the puppy?

When we brought Cooper home, he just sat on my son's lap. We had about an hours drive. I think if you just bring along someone to comfort your baby and maybe a blanket, you will be just fine.

Our ride was only an hour but we just brought a baby blanket and my son just held them in his lap each time....good luck...its so exciting...

We pick up our new girl in a week. It is about a 3 hour drive.. I will take a blanket for her but probably be on my lap most of the way, and my husband will drive. I did buy a harness as well so can put seat belt through just in case. I used that for my Dharmagirl and worked a treat.. good luck. Its all so exciting getting a new baby...
