There is definately something fishy about the story. It doesn't say what Fraser was on medication for. It would be good if he has another illness sothe rescue can make sure he's treated and placed correctly. Fraser had pneumonia and was underweight. Didn't he have kidney problems as a result of not being able to urinate? It sounds like he was abused long before they left him on the side of the road.

I hope the judge takes their new pup away from them...one only knows what might make her do the same thing to this one. I can't imagine what she might do to a child as well. What if her child is diabetic - is she going to throw him/her on the side of the road too?

Maybe we should all write letters to the judge & prosecutor. Sometimes this can help increase the sentance. Any thoughts?

I completly agree! If anyone local up there knows what court system and judge to write to I'm sure this would help. Also, I know they can put a provision in her sentance that she is never allowed to own another animal like they have with all the BYB's that were charged with abuse and neglect.

Anyone interested in writing a letter on Frasier's behalf can send the letter to:

Concord District Court
Attn: Clerks Office
32 Clinton Street
Concord, NH 03301
(603) 271-6400

The monster who did this is: Melissa Cere. Her address is 175 Boynton St. Manchester, NH - I got this out of the paper....not sure what info you need so I just included it. I know we need at least her name.

Please make sure you address it to the clerks office and they will attach the letter to the file. It is against the law to write directly to a judge. The judge reviews the letters in the file before her trial.

The court date is 4/20 so please send the letters with enough time to reach the court house and be placed in her file. I think if enough people write, it could make a difference. I remember reading about Buster in FL and the judge gave a harsher sentance due to public outrage...we'll be sending our letter this week.

I am so happy there has been a happy ending for Frasier! appicon appicon beericon I am sure he'll be very happy in his new home!

Now if we can help get a harsh sentance for the monster who did this to him, that would be the icing on the cake!

Re: Melissa Cere, charged with animal abuse and cruelty

Dear Clerk of the Court:

I became aware of the case involving “Fraser,” the brindle Boxer found cruelly tied by the side of the road in Dunbarton with cable ties over his mouth and penis, through my membership in BoxerWorld, an online internet forum made up of many thousands of devoted and concerned animal lovers.

Even though I reside on the other side of the United States in California, I wish to register my horror at the treatment this poor dog received at the hands of his tormentor. I understand that at this time, these are only allegations of criminal activity and have not yet been proven in a court of law, but should that time come, I hope that the Court will see fit to hand down the maximum sentence possible under whatever controlling statutes apply. I also strongly urge the Court to prohibit this person from ever owning or being in charge of any animals ever again.

Our society is becoming less humane and harsher with each passing year. The compassion of our people can only truly be judged by how we treat the weakest and most helpless among us. This was a despicable act. One can only imagine how much this intelligent, sentient creature must have suffered and would have suffered had he not been found. Thankfully Fraser will be now be given to a loving home where he will live out his years with tenderness and care. A message absolutely must be sent to all that this type of action will not and cannot be tolerated in a civilized society.

Thank you for the opportunity to express my opinion.

Very truly yours, etc. etc.
