Hi, yes, breeding at a young age is not a great thing for the girls and they can have problems whelping physically and they are just not mentally mature enough to cope with motherhood. Something else to consider is the moral side of this, most health tests should be done after 2 years of age - so breeding a young dog means health testing has not been done or the results are not reliable enough (both male and female should have testing). Here is a previous thread on a similar topic about breeding which may help you http://www.boxerworld.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=3825 Another thing to consider is that at 11 months of age your girl still has a bit of growing and filling out to do, and it is hard to evaluate her properly conformation wise.

Another good source of information is this site called 'Virtual Breeding' which takes you through it all step by step http://www.bluegrace.com/virtualbreeding.html

Here is a general overview of helth tests for Boxers

to early

Your girl is way to young she is still a puppy herself.
And before you breed you should have both your dogs hips
x-rayed and permanetly ofa . Boxer displaysia is down
to 13% good but for those 13% its not so lets get that
down to 0 with good genetics. Your dogs heart should
also be checked for cardiomyopathy and a thyroid never
hurts. Responsible breeding is costly, prenatal care,
and then when the bundles arrive you must be mentally
and financially prepared what if mom has a problem with
milk? What if mom needs c-section,theres alot of what ifs
And then when its time to find homes for your new babies
you must screen them very carefully get references,go
see where they live,Theres alot of people who go through
fads and just get the puppy cause its cute and when it's
not a puppy anymore it ends up in a shelter or worse.
I have found that there are very few responsible pet owners
out there. Please make your decision wisely
