Well no such luck with Samantha and Princeton. Tim developed an allergic reaction being around the two of them. So what we have decided iis to go for one boxer on adoption and as he becomes more accustomed to it, we will foster any that need fostering. We know that Tim will grow accustomed as he had the same reaction to my other dog when he first came to live with me. We really want to get a boxer asap.

Good luck! We live in Toronto, and it can be very difficult to find rescues up here! We've been looking for months. We may be getting one from Michigan or Ohio, which means driving down on weekends, but it's worth it!

crossing the border

Do you know what is involved resucing a dog from the U.S.? Do you know what the requirments are for bringing one across the border (i.e. quarintine, vaccinations, registration, etc)? There seems to be even fewer boxers in need of good homes out west here. I hadn't really conseidered looking in the States.

Regarding adopting from the US and the requirments etc. you are best to let Rescue Canada know of your interest to pursue a US adoption from one of their rescues. Just a quick e-mail to Rescue Canada is about all it takes, and they can let you know which rescues they work with over there and the procedure you should follow. In my experience so far, the home study still needs to be done here by our rescue and then the paperwork is forwarded to the US rescue. Good luck!
