So what's the difference between large breed food and medium or "normal" breed food?

I would suggest feeding your dog wellness. It just has a different cup size per dog size. It has been great food for mattie. It is a little expensive, however, someone on BW got mattie hooked on it and she loves it. It is human grade food ... I know that I haven't had any trouble with mattie on this food. She weights 53lbs at 9 months. And I hear ya !! They told me that feeding her large dog food was"OK' at the petstore. Mattie just hated that food and that is when I switched her to wellness. Hope this helps.
