Run Forrest Run!

When Chloe traps Oscar under the deck (they pulled off the lattice work so they could go under it) and won't let him out. She will stick her butt up in the air with her paws down in front, waiting for him to run for it. He is under the deck, breathing so fast, it scares me! Then I yell, "Run Forrest Run!" and Oscar runs out from under the deck across the back yard as fast as he can (usually about 75mph). However, Chloe always does 76 mph. She will catch him by the back leg and flip him over. They will wrestle for a few minutes, then head back to the deck for another round of "Run Forrest Run." :D :D

The Human Lip

Cole has a Very pronounced "human lip". It is black and the exact texture of a human lip. He is also a whiner. When he really "needs" something like a scratch behind the ear or for me to get his favorite ball that rolled under the couch for the thousandth time, he quivers his human lip. It kills us. We say, "Watch out he's given you the human lip!"

That reminds me....Kira used to catch the side of her mouth in her teeth sometimes...we called it her "Elvis lip" when she did that.

Also..on a natural eared boxer, when the ears are both flipped over backwards, we call it "mouse ears", in Duke's case: Mr Mouse Ears.

These are cracking me up - especially as some of them I thought only Mason did - the sofa surfing specifically - he will pounce up and down on the sofa, digging under the pillows, as if he can see bugs that I can't!!

When I call Mason and he looks up with his ears raised and facing forward, I call those his 'bunny ears'!

Mason also does the 'stalking', the dead chicken (although I call it the 'frogs legs!!), the Super Dog (I love that name for it! and many of the others.

Don't you just love boxers!!

We say Magnum has "crooked teeth" when he does this.

We call Mar's ears flipped over the "flying nun" look.

Anytime that Magnum is grooming Omar (cleaning his head and especially his ears) we say "love your brother". Unless, of course, he's grooming certain unmentionable areas on his brother and then we have the "no weinie licking" rule in our house.

Elvis Lip

We have "Elvis Lip" at our house too. Whenever the lip gets caught on that big tooth, they look just like Elvis. I always look at them, whichever one it is at the time, and say (in my best Elvis voice) "Thank You, Thank You very much."

Regarding "Sofa Surfing"--
This must be what mine are doing when I come home and all of the sofa cushions are in the floor. I am so glad I know what it is that has been going on while I am gone. :D

These are so funny. Mine have done most all of the above. The sofa surfing is done quite frequently. I do not know what this is called but I will describe it. Delilah likes to lay in my curled up legs when I am watching TV. When Samson thinks that she has been there long enough he will go get her favorite toy and try to tease her. When she gets up to play with him. He drops the toy and gets in her place. She will do the same thing to him. Does anyone have a name for this?

he's the Ostrich

Tommy's "sofa surfing" always just consists of him sticking his head and neck into one area of the couch til it disappears, we call him the ostrich dog (tho he's not sticking his head in the sand) but he will root around in that one same spot for up to a minute.

Cassie cannot, for some reason, reach her cheeks to "clean her chops" after dinner. So I took to wiping their faces after dinner. Now they both pull a "dine and dash" to get away from having their faces wiped (worse than kids, I swear!) And where do they head? To my couch! They can "Wipe their Chops" in one swipe by sticking their head under the cushion and pulling a "dine and dash" while running by!
