Just had a look, wonder why born without tails then?
Bit shady if you ask me otherwise considering todays docking ban you'd think they'd elaborate on why they have no tails.

What's this about a "docking ban"? I'm just curious. I am not up to par on all the AKC guidelines, standards, bans, etc. I don't plan on breeding Rocky. In fact he's getting fixed in a couple of months but a friend of mine has a male named Tyson that he's getting ready to stud. so I thought maybe this ban is something I could pass on to him. Thanks!

It has nothing to do with the AKC. Nothing to do with any US body, actually. The docking ban discussed in this instance is in the UK where, following much of the rest of Europe and beyond, it is now illegal to perform surgery on a dog for cosmetic reasons. In short, no more docking of tails (cropping of ears has been illegal since 1875-ish).

My friend's just came back from Ireland tonight and told me she saw some puppy boxers for sale that were docked, I told her that I'm sure in one part of Ireland it was still legal but she said yeah but not where I was.
Her mum apparently said to the bloke selling them (at a market of all places??) that's illegal to do that now and he just shrugged his shoulders and said something like 'go report me then' nonoicon

Ah. Thanks for answering that for me! As far as the ears go, I like them floppy anyways. In fact, I've noticed more and more people avoiding cropping. Thanks for the input!
