Boxer Booster
Swimming

Our Boxer "Miss Lisa" was taught swimming and loves the water -- :) Lisa came to us because her Mum & Dad went back to work full time and she had a little dragon come out when left alone! so 1 month ago she flew to us in Michigan from CA and she is the best baby I could ever ask for -- Lisa was taught to swim with a lifejacket then when she got comfortable with that she started to swim by herself. Living in MI does pose a bit of a problem -- swimming only a few months out of the year -- so, we have decided to take her with us on our vactions to FL in the winter:D Last week-end we cleane our pool for the opening season and she dove right in ! It may be a long summer :D

Brody just loves to swim! We live on a lake an he was about 10 months when launched himself into the water. Now I can't keep him out. He has also discovered the small fish at the shore this spring. Now he fishes by sticking his whole head in the water then pouncing on them. He is too slow! But always watches the fish.
We did not push him to go in. We just walked by the shore everyday and stayed around for awhile to let him play. Then it just happened one day! I would love to get him a kiddy pool for the back yard (the lake is across the street), but we have watering resitrictions here and are not allowed to fill any pools with water! Oh well!!

Super Boxer
Sarah,

I was born in Victoria and grew up there! My sister still lives there and she sees boxers all the time . What lake do you live by? We used to live a couple miles from Thetis lake and went there all the time as children. We lived in Langford for about 13 years. Now I'm living in Tahsis with my family and our boxer girl Ruby. She also loves the water, but can't swim. We are going to work on teaching her this summer. Going to buy her a life jacket so she'll be more comfortable with the process. A wading pool would be ideal, I think I'll have to try that and see what she thinks of it. So far we don't have any watering restrictions up here.

Lacie will 2 in June and she is really starting to enjoy the water. She plays in the river almost on a daily basis, she choses to wade up to her chest and that is as far as she has been going, but this week we have had such hot water and the girls have been wadding that lacie has actually swam a couple o f times. Lacie has even been known to put her whole head under water to get a rock!!!!
