We turned Yogi out into the backyard to play for a while today, after a 12 inch snowfall. Yogi is a white boxer, so the only thing we saw for quite a while was the flash of his red collar as he dive bombed head first into the snow drifts. Then we pitched snowballs to him and he had fun trying to catch them before they broke apart. Then out of no where comes a boxer burn. The snow was flying!!! Poor dude, plumb wore himself out - he is now snoring in my recliner. What a blast!!

Koda likes to try and catch snowballs too! When he misses he buries himself in the snow trying to find where it went. It's the funniest thing to watch. Miya doesn't much care for it though.

How cute...Yogi had lots of energy to burn I guess!!! I wish I was right there throwing snowballs in the air for him:) You'll have to take some videos or pics and post them, I would love to see them.

we are in the middle of a 2 day snow storm, and old girl will not go out of the door until dh has shoveled her a path to the potty area.
unfortunately, dh was at work for 20 hours, and when i got up to let the old girl out this am, i was prepared to have to shovel her walkway first thing.
what a nice surprise - the older, retired guy next door must have gotten up super early this morning and shoveled her path for me! he knew hubby was at work, cause dh usually does the driveways and sidewalks for both our houses, as the neighbors are older.
so, the neighbor did the path for the girl, and just a little path from his front door to her "potty walkway" too. he and the dog have been buddies for years, and although he is dogless, he has a stash of treats by the front door for her.
i'll be dragging out the snowblower in a bit, much to puppy's dismay, he did everything possible to avoid the shoveled parts of the backyard, and much preferred hopping happily thru the biggest snow drifts!

Sydney sure had fun playing in the snow this morning. DH shoveled the back patio. When I let her out she took off running, boxer burning around the yard. She loves to stick her nose in the snow. It was so funny. Atlas goes out and does what he has to do and comes back in.

Ms. Ali loves new snow and this year we've had our share. She won't wear her coat but then again when she's out other than to do her doo she's running a mile a minute and can't possibly get cold. It sure helps them settle down once they come back inside. ZZZZZZZZ all night long.

Sasha just LOVES the snow. She runs around the yard as if the devil where chasing her. She loves to catch snowballs mid-air and eat them. Occasionally, she will miss a toss and bury her head in the snow to try and find it. When the kids sleigh ride she runs next to them the whole way down. I spied oldest trying to get Sasha to carry the sled back up the hill. Didn't work. But was funny. Angel likes the snow too. We don't keep her outside for more than is necessary (only 12 weeks) But she does enjoy it thoroughly when she is out.

Sophie is passed out and snoring on the couch right now. She spent the morning and afternoon hours chasing the kids down the hill on their sleds, wrestling with Mocha, burning and catching snowballs. This is our first snow this year and I don't know who was more excited, the kids or Sophie. LOL
