Boxers and little dogs

It is possible that you'll never have any problems, but you do need to understand that normal boxer puppy play is VERY rough. When he is 50-70 lbs, even playful behavior will be rough enough to seriously injure a yorkie. It might not be the best of ideas to encourage them to play together in a rough way, even now.

I don't allow Tess to play with small dogs. It's not worth risking injury, in my opinion.

Boxers and Dachshunds

I noticed that one member posted about her boxer and dachshund getting along fine. Is this the norm? I have a tiny 1 1/2 yr old male boxer. He's 53 pounds of sweetheart and loves all dogs he sees but is SOOOOO bouncy and hyper. I would love to get a Dachshund but my husband is afraid that Tigger (our boxer) would hurt the Doxie. Are dachshunds are delicate as they appear with their long backs? Any suggestions?

2 boxers and a chihuahua

my boxers get along just fine with my chihuahua and my little dog is the older alpha male. mine even cuddle together when they are sleeping or taking a nap during the day. and when the puppy gets out of hand the little older dog will let the other one know when boundries are crossed. even though all my dogs get along just fine there are moments where my little dog doesnt want to get picked on and as we all know boxers like to pick on other dogs and bug them but in a playful way.
