Does anyone else's boxers chase cats. I have 5 and no matter what i do they chase my barn cats unless the cat doesn't run. I suppose it is the thrill of the chase since they never hurt the cats .

My boxer, Boomer doesn't chase cats, he GETS CHASED by cats! He wants to play with my cat, Baxter so badly, but Baxter hisses, chases him, and tries to scratch him. He "talks" to Baxter too. Whenever he makes these funny sounds and noises that almost sound like words, we know that he's in the other room, trying to coax Baxter into playing with him, even though he knows it futile. :D

Sadee and Basil

Sadee loves to play with our cat Basil. Sadee attempts to "egg" Basil on until Basil gets tired of seeing Sadee jump baack and forth at her. Basil then, takes a few jabs at Sadee, and chases her into the other room. No matter how many times this occurs, I can't help but find myself laughing at the two of them.

Cat chases boxer!

My Brat Cat loved my boxer Loki, and would jump on him when he was sleeping so he would get up and chase her-then when they got tired she would cuddle up next to him to rest. They were a circus unto themselves, and kept us in stitches! She would also hide his toy, and then he would go and get her teddy bear and lay on it. I have never had pets so full of personality as these two!

Bandi and our cat Nitro are pretty good buds.
They take turns chasing each other .
Nitro has been declawed in the front so she cant hurt Bandi
When she swats her but she does let Bandi know when she
has had enough!

Koolba and Cats

Dogz21--

Koolba also takes our siamese by the head ocassionally. And the dumb cat goes back for more! When I'm working on training Koolba to stay down for a long time, the cat KNOWS it and walks around meowing loudly (which is normal for him!) taunting him. He'll walk up and bat at Kooba's head to try to tempt her to move. Kooba's so good, she'll do a belly crawl, but she doesn't get up! I'm gonna try to attach a picture or two of one of their typical "play fights." We'll see if it works.

Sadie (re-named from Haley) was a rescue when we got her about 2 months ago. When she saw our 3 cats you would think she was looking at an alien! The look of sheer amazement was hilarious! Until she started chasing them! As time went on, we realized that she only wanted to play, and when the cats realized that she didn't want to hurt them, they would stop abruptly and turn around. She had no idea what to do! The cats still don't like her very much, but it is getting better as the days go on. One interesting thing, Sadie "stalks" the cats. She gets down and actually stalks them like she were a cat herself! Of course they are completely unamused at this!

We don't have a cat, but one day Ruby got ahold of the neighbors kitten when it came in the yard. She had it pinned to the ground and we don't know what she was going to do. We were all so scared that she was going to kill it, so we got it away from her. Since then we haven't let her get near another cat to see what would happen because we are scared it won't be a good thing.

When my kittens were born, Seffy was so curious as to what these tiny creatures were. She would never leave their crate except to eat, go outside, etc. When they began to crawl around, they would crawl all over her face and claw her sensitive skin, but she was always so gentle. I really believe she thought they were hers! Now, Jack (one of the kittens) is an adult and he loves his adopted boxer mom! He is so patient with her puppies. When they bite and maul him, he hollers, but just lays there. It's so cute!kingicon
