What a wonderful site. It all started October 5 1998 with the best birthday present ever given. My husband surprised me with an 8wk old male runt reverse brindle who instantly stole my heart. We had only been married a yr when he gave me this true love. What a joy it was to watch this loyal, protective, and ever most loving animal grow into a complete fulfillment. Sir Ruger of Belgium aka Ruger. Never have I experienced such animal love as an adult. It all ended tragically this past Sunday around 2:00 afternoon. Mother's Day. We have 2 awesome boys ages 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 and while enjoying the beauty of the day as a family our lives changed forever. Ruger came over and laid beside of me on my quilt and unexpectedly left our world. What a terrible thing. And after repeatedly trying to save him he was gone. Out vet met us asap and confirmed his death and diagnoised heart attack as the cause. That was my belief after seeing what had just happened. What a silent killer indeed. He was of perfect health. Our vet said he was of the healthiest boxer patients that he had, and he had several. I was determined to find out just what could have happened. That is how I found you guys and that many boxers suffer from BCM. To help heal our broken heart we now have a gorgeous 7wk old bindle female runt named Boxie Brisket aka Boxie. She may be a runt but oh what a little spitfire. She too has stolen my heart with intent on healing it. We also will have a 7wk old male reverse brindle (like Ruger) coming to us August 1. What a complete joy to experience such companionship from an animal. Thanks for having this more than wonderful site for a boxer lover like me. I am truly like an empty library trying to collect all knowledge possible on any interest in my life. Regina
