boxer woes

My poor boxer, Mayla has just been diagnosed with a brain tumor. She is 5 1/2 years old - I rescued her from Boxer Luv Rescue in July.
I have her on Prednisone and she is coming back around - maybe this will give me an extra week or two with her.
This is very sad.
I wanted to hear from anyone else witha boxer with brain tumors. They, the specialist, has suggested that we do an MRI at $1400. Even then, that won't fix it. Surgery at several thousand dollars as well - will she be back to normal???
I also have a Rottweiler who wants a sister to play with. Poor Mayla hasn't really wanted to play in a few months.
It is devistating to have a dog go downhill so quickly with seizures and the like.

Thank you for your thoughts.
Mayla is on Prednisone now - it will give me a few more weeks with her - I may also try a chemotherapeutic agent - called lomustine.
She had all of the signs though, spinning to the right, falling over, having seizures, running into evey stick of furniture. I was beside myself until I took her to the Veterinary Neurological Center. They need so much money for an MRI - which won't cure her.
It looks like she has either a glioma, a choroid plexus tumor or a meningioma.
I am giving her a lot of love and kisses. In fact, her Rottweiler sister is getting jealous!
