Boxer vs. Dachshund

Boxer Pal
In our household our boxer baby, Katie Jo, is the twice (3 times is probably closer to the truth) bigger than our dachshund and our terrier. Anyway, we bought Katie a rope toy which she absolutely loves to play with. When the other dogs are outside (Katie spends a lot of time inside until we get a six foot fence up), she will toss the rope around and bounce around trying to catch it or playing tug-of-war with daddy. Well, we have been having a lot of rain so our dachshund, Oscar, has been unable to be outside chasing the birds so he recently decided that he wanted to play with the rope too (normally we won't let him play with it because he prefers to pull the strings out one by one as opposed to playing with it) but he decided this while Katie had it. This ensued in a very unfair tug-of-war where Oscar was getting dragged around the living room but he absolutely refused to let go. Getting tired of being dragged he all of the sudden gave a very hard tug, for which Katie was not prepared, causing her to go paws over head and do a roll...right on top of Oscar! She, of course, dropped the rope and Oscar ran with it and went under the bed. My husband followed to take it from him so that we wouldn't have a ton of strings laying under the bed and he refused to give it up and got right in the middle where we couldn't reach him. Finally, Katie wanted her rope bad enough and went under there and dragged him out by the rope. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen! I laughed so hard I cried! As crazy as Katie can be sometimes, I will never regret getting my first boxer baby!

Completely Boxer Crazy
OMG!! ROFLMAO! That is hilarious! Sometimes the little ones can be so "fierce". We had a Japanize Spitz (20lb) that would not back down to ANY dog!

Boxer Insane
That is absolutely hysterical! Bailey (mini dachshund) is definitely the boss in our house. He is the world's worst about dragging things under the bed and destroying them. Who knows what's under there! It's a hoot to watch him and Beau play. I get a lot of comments about what an odd pair my boys are but they are the best of friends. I'm sure it's just as much fun at your house!

My first dog as a little girl was a dachshund named Oscar angelicon
