I have just read through all 22 pages of boxer traits and I find there is one not mentioned, our Sofie liked looking UNDER doors, especially at the vets she was always trying to second guess who was coming through the door. She would almost sommersault in her effort to get her eye to the crack under the door, and had the vet apologising on a regular basis when he opened the door to fast.:rolleyes: She also had bad gas but always glared at hubby like he was to blame:D

Hello everyone!
I just rescued a boxer (BUDDY) 1 1/2 yrs old they say. He was in the pound for 2 months and he is very well manored. He marked one place in my house as he first walked in. But as far as that and chewing shoes, couch cushions, jackets etc. (mainly when we are home) goes he has been a great loving boy. I have had Collies my whole life and they are also one of the smartest animals out there but when I moved in with my boyfriend he only had boxers. So I love every animal out there and agreed to get a boxer. Boy it took us over 1 year to find one that was not expensive. But now I see why and would have to say they are well worth it.
Allright let's get on with traits.
He has displayed all of the prev. except sleeping on back.
When I take him out to do his business and he does #2 he will walk past it and kick dirt up on it and then run around like a mad dog.
I guess that's one other cat like habbits.
He also refused to go downstairs where our bedroom is (sort of a good thing since he likes material objects and we don't have a working closet door) could you imangine what a mess that would be.
I will admit I do miss having a dog at the foot of my bed or jumping on and off all night.:( :(

Congrats on your new Boxer! Austin has most of the traits although he never sleeps on his back, either. Most of the time rolled over on his side. I learned a lot about Boxers since I've been on the board. Mostly that my dog is not just a tart - they all are!!

Austin sometimes jumps when he farts-especially when he's sleeping! Guess he scares himself. He looks at his butt like "what was THAT!" Then I ask him, "Austin-did you FART?" He just gives me a dirty look!:eek:
