Boxer - Traitor

I joined this site years ago when Rudy was a tiny puppy. He was born on March 24th 2006. I was single from October of 2007 till October of 2010 when I met my now husband. He loves animals so there were no problem. Till now..... Rudy adores him..... He will chose to stay in a room with him when I am in another room. Is it male solidarity? I am loving it but has anyone else experienced it. I am still his primary walker and feeder....

Milly has different relationships with Ryan and I. Ryan is her little buddy. She runs errands with him, will be outside doing yard work with him and will wrestle with him. She is more lovey with me. She snuggles with me and will play ball - but when Ry is home she prefers him to rough house with.

Snatch adores DH
Oxford adores me.

Sometimes, I call Snatch "traitor" too! I am the one who feeds the dogs, walk them. I stayed home unemployed during the 1st year of Snatch's life. I am the one who insists on doing stuff with and for the dogs: I take them to agility, to the park, dog park... I usually have to remind DH to take them down

And yet.. Snatch totally think DH is God or something whenever I take them for a a walk and DH stays home, Snatch just looks back the WHOLE times until we turn in a nother street...
If a guy comes towards us from far with a cap and looks like DH, he becomes insane..
Oh and if a Honda (DH drives a Honda) passes by, it's the end of our walk...

Thankfully, Oxford thinks i am his goddess and adores me and makes DH feels bad

In our house it's pretty equal. Bentley wants to be with whoever is doing something more fun then the other. But, he knows who to come suck up to when he wants something. And that's me! He knows I'm the one who feeds him, lets him out, walks him. So I'm the one he comes to for any of that. But, he is way more lovey with me then DH. And he's definitely more rough with DH. We call him a Momma's Boy around here, but we know he adores DH just the same. Plus...he knows Daddy will let him do things Mom normally wouldn't....

We got Thor because my husband wanted a male brindle. He even named the him. Thor was suppose to be my husband's dog. Thor is the biggest mama's boy EVER! If my husband is home and I go out he sits looking out front window, waiting for me. Arabella on the other hand, as soon as my DH comes home from work, that's it. She has no use for me until it is time to feed her. BTW Arabella was my birthday present four years ago. Our first boxer was pretty fair about loving on both of us.

Sometimes I feel like Jem loves my boyfriend more, but I recently found out that when I leave he whines and cries and walks around all sad.....and when my boyfriend leaves he doesn't make a peep!

Both of mine are traitors.

When I got Sandy, my dh was not going to feed, walk, pet or even talk to her. That is what I was told. One look from those big brown eyes and they were both in love! She is his baby girl. She loves me... when he is not around.

Napoleon was the same way, he was going to be MY dog becuase of dh's relationship with Sandy. Well, Napoleon fell head over heals in love with dh... I can't figure out what I have done wrong...

I feed, walk, bathe, take them to Pet stores in the area, the park, etc.
but they both love him more...

Actually, it has been great becuase he had never been around a boxer before Sandy, now he is in love with the breed. He is totally hooked.
I can live with that...
