Yep, that is totally normal. Louie dreams all of the time, even if he's just taking a really short nap. He growls, and puffs his cheeks out and barks in his sleep. His feet move like he's running.

Wouldn't it be so funny to tap into their dreams? I can just see them dreaming of running through fields chasing things.

It DOES seem like the busier the day, the busier the dreaming!

Sammi definitely has very active dreams. I used to get scared but now just a little rub and a soft calling her name calms her down. My Rottie usually starts howling in his dreams...it's very funny when he wakes himself up doing it!

Sadie does the same thing.. run, growl.. whimper anything you can think of in her sleep. Sometimes she is so loud or "running so fast" she wakes herself up... looks around, then sighs and goees right back to sleep

Spike does the same and it scared the life out of me the first time I heard it...I thought we had a crazy one on our hands. His eyes does a fluttery think as well. I really need to video him someday and play it back to him and see what he does. ;)

Yup, Baci does that too. The first time he did it I thought he was having seizures. I was all ready to take him to the vet to get checked out :p Then I found out it's just normal puppy dreams.
