I have an 8 week old puppy and I noticed today that shes been throwing up a little bit. Its always right after she drinks water. Im thinking that she might be drinking too fast. Is there a way to try and slow this down? THanks for the help!

Does the throw up just look like water? Lily use to do this as a puppy as well and you just have to take the water bowl away from her if she is drinking to much too fast and then give back her water to her to slow her down. :)

Daisy did the same thing too when she was younger. It ued to scare me but I too started taking her water away to kind of slow her down and she hasn't done it in a long time. :)

well she just did it again but this time there was food in it. I usually give her about 5 minutes to eat and drink and then I take the bowls away. She laid in her crate for about an hour and then I heard her squirming around and right as I went to go get her she threw up a little. What to do?

Does your vet have a 24 hour number to call. If it's worrying you, it's always better to call the vet and see if they have any ideas/advice for you. Ty and I are sending lots of good vibes to your baby!

Well I took her to the vet and he said he believes she just has an upset tummy. He gave me some medicine to give to her to help calm her stomach but when I got home she just crashed out in her crate. So looks like Im gonna have to call in to work tomorrow to look after my little angel. On a side note the vet told me that parvo can live in the soil for up to a year, which kinda worried me because we just bought our house 6 months ago. Well lets hope she sleeps through the night.
