Boxer & Swimming

Well, Brando and I kinda learned the hard way that he can swim, but he doesn't care for the water. I was out water skiing with a friend one day in the sound, and Brando decided to jump in after me (he was only 4 months old at the time) while I was goofing around. Well, he launched right off the side of the boat, even though he'd never been in the water before! His eyes got big as saucers, and he doggie paddled to stay afloat, but I was freaking out because we didn't exactly do proper water orientation! My friend jumped off the boat and rescued my furbaby and safely brought him back to the boat. Poor Brando! He hasn't gone in the water since! Hates it! So, we don't have to worry about taking him for swims. He is like Beamer (gigi) and just heads for the sprinklers. He'll even hop in the tub when I'm showering and he likes getting a bath, but he won't go swimming and he won't go out in the rain. The only way to get him to go potty while it's raining is to (get this) wear a poncho to keep myself dry, and keep an umbrella over him, then take him under a tree! What a goofball. He actually pooped on my carpet intentionally while my folks were visiting. I was in the shower and my husband was out, so my parents didn't know the proper procedure, and couldnt' get him to go out. So, right there on the floor he did his thing. What a weirdo! Likes baths, hates swimming, likes sprinklers, and hates the rain.:p
