Boxer Showers

Deeg always sticks his head into my shower...always. He loves trying to catch the droplets...it looks like he’s biting the water. It is so cute!

Oh so funny. My Hummer has gotten in the shower with me too. I have never told anyone this Not even my DH for fear they would think I was completely off my rocker.
I am so relieved I am not alone.. My friends and neighbors already think I'm a bit off because I treat my 3 boxers like true human kids.

When we lived in our old house (and I mean OLD house) the bathroom door did not latch so there was no way you could keep Killian out. The thing with him is that he has a birth defect (see pic) so his jaw is offset pretty bad to one side and his tongue hangs out all the time which makes it really hard to drink without getting more water on the floor than in his tummy. So.... when he was just a baby, my hubby would put him in the tub and turn the water on at a trickle so Killian could tilt his head just right and get a good drink. After that he would just run and jump in the tub whenever he was thirsty. Needless to say, visitors thought that was a little funny when they went into the bathroom to find a dog lying in the tub waiting for someone to come turn the water on. I think that is where his love of water started. He would always come in and stick his head in at the end of the shower curtain and just watch.... So then a lot of times he would just get in and hubby would bathe him and then give him to me to dry. It really is the easiest way to do it. Otherwise I have to get in the shower and pull the curtain anyway to keep the bathroom from getting flooded from all the shaking!!

oh heck yes! Skeeter loves it! I don't know if its just because its warm in there or what. She sticks her head in by the faucet and licks the drips of water that come out for the entire time I am in there! She is such a weirdo!! clowicon

Diva will sit by the tub and wait for me to get out so she can lick my legs dry!

Nope. i keep the bathroom door closed. Usually someone else is home to keep her occupied.

The boxer we had in HS, Tsu, loved the water in all ways but one. She hated getting a bath! She loved to swim, play in the hose, lounge in her kiddie pool, play with sprinklers, look in the shower but always looked really hurt when you bathed her. Silly Boxers!
