Boxer Puppy Bliss.....

Told you guys a few weeks ago about a friend of my hubby's that rescued 4 boxer puppys from wretched conditions of a backyard breeder. Well, I got to visit them last night. Unbelieveably adorable. They're about 3 1/2 months now and too funny for words. It's hysterical to see a mini version of the kidney bean. And when they all sit next to each other and look up with those innocent puppy eyes, you could just melt. They each have such distinctive personalities. But boy, does this guy have his hands full. Can you imagine? Feeding time alone requires three people. Have to say, I've never seen anyone so devoted and in love with these puppy's. My hats off to Jeff for taking on this responsibility. AND, he also has two adult Dobie's.

Anyway, now whenever I need a puppy fix, I just pop over to Jeff's house. By the time I'm done, I enjoy coming home to my almost adult Mush.....

We need pictures! Maybe the next time you get your puppy fix you can take a few photos and post them. I always enjoy seeing pics of puppies.

Just curious, how do the Dobies get along with the puppies.

The dobies

Well, the Dobies are 8 and 8 1/2, male and female and so far, the male does great with them. He plays with them, and lets them know when it's time to stop. But they are having some issues with the female. Although they did catch her playing with the one little girl boxer briefly, but mostly she doesn't want anything to do with them. They're working with her, and they said she is getting better. I guess she's already gone after one of the puppy's and nipped him in the side. Nothing too drastic, but she was putting him in his place. This particular puppy also happens to be the dominant one that I can see. My biggest concern for this situation is when the puppy's get to the 6 month - 1 year stage and they really jocky for pack position, what happens. He's having them all neutered and spayed of course. There are three males and one little girl. And there are so many theory's about keeping same sex boxers together, I just don't know how it will work. But Jeff is committed and I trust he will do what's right for all the dogs. The Dobies look so incredibly big right now compared to the boxers. But his male Dobie is a doll and plays with each of the puppys all day.
