Bellagio (Bella Boy)-- because it's a family tradition to name dogs after Vegas hotels. He got his name by peeing on me when I first met him, and the Bellagio is famous for its fountains.

I am going to college this fall and my mother can't keep my boxer.

Born July 1st, 2004
He is a flashy brindle, male, shots up-to-date. Not neutered.
Parents had papers, but he has none... I got him from a BYB (I know, I know...)

Floppy ears, tail docked (but sort of a long tail still...)

He's good with kids, bad with cats (for now...)

Sits, stays, speaks, mostly housebroken, sleeps in the bed but isn't allowed on the couch.

Travels frequently, loves car rides... he went on a weekend trip to Georgia with not too many problems at three months. 1600 miles round trip.

He has lots of energy, but once you sit down and he's in your lap, he'll sleep (and snore) as long as you do.

He follows me around, sleeps at my feet when I'm on the computer, plays fetch with his favorite toy, loves pig ears, right now I have him eating Nutro Natural Large Breed Puppy, but feel free to switch to any human-grade food.

He loves baths. When I shower and leave the door open a little, he jumps right in.

The parents were sad to see him go... he was their favorite of the litter. They would take him back, but they have four boxers already.

He's wonderful with other dogs. He's interacted with full grown shepherds, a husky mix, and lots of boxers and akitas. He hasn't had much experience with "yipper dogs", though he growled at one. He doesn't growl or bark much, he's really pretty quiet.

When he first gets around little kids, he'll growl a little until he smells her and licks her a little, then it's all good.

Goodies you can take with you:
Dog house
Large crate
Box of toys
Bag of food
Big dog pillow thing

I will drive: as far as my vehicle will allow. Tell me where you live and we'll compromise somehow.

If you are interested, PM me and let me know about yourself a bit (and any questions you might have). I will send you pictures (the ones in the gallery are old) on request.

He sounds wonderful, it's too bad you aren't able to keep him. Have you looked into boxer rescues in your area? They are very experienced at finding excellent forever homes for pups and it might give you some peace of mind he is going to a good place.

I would take him in a second...my husband not so willing... ours is only a month older...they'd be so cute!

:)

I did know, at the time I had two options ( a plan A and B) and both fell through. First I'd found a few colleges that allow pets on campus, but then decided against them. Then a friend's family was going to adopt him, but they had to move into a smaller home.

he's so cute!

if my bf would allow another pup in this house I'd scoop him up in a second. I think going through bw was a good idea, rescues are so overwhelmed as it is. good luck finding him the right home.

no chance on living off campus and keeping him with you? I just hate that you have to give him up. I understand your problem though. I had to wait until my last semester before I got my little one. I would love to take him but I am a little far for that...good luck. For the record though I wish I did have time to drive out and get him.
