Boxer Pal
Hello
Received puppy female 2 mo ago, 4 mo old, Bella. She first had an issue a week ago after receiving third set of shots (Dihenhydramine and Temaril for worms). The day after had a bad hive outbreak. Vet said she likely ingested or had an insect bite (no insects I can find, nor bite mark, Idaho log winter, not many pests). Gave Benadryl and she was ok a day later.
Then 2 days after, she could not use hind leg. Took to vet and they mentioned joint problem with fluid and gave painkillers, mentioning should be fine in a few days.
Today, took her back and vet noted 106 deg temp, and hind leg had huge swelling. They noted puss and are draining leg now, keeping her overnight, and should have a culture to send out to identify bacterial type.
Any of this sound familiar or any other things we might be missing, or red flags?
Our puppy does try to eat rabbit droppings..and is / was excessively energetic with jumping up steps, etc..sometimes in clumpsy manner. Neither seemed too alarming.
Thanks for any input.
