Is there a dog park in Lansing? We have been trying to get one here in GR, but havent' succeeded yet!
We would love to meet up sometime! Weekends are tough though because we are on the road a lot! Furbaby grandparents are in Alma and Flint though, so we pass your way quite often!
I have to ask, how did you get the names Flint and Georgia???
Our "wee man" got his name from a night at the bar during college! Yipes, how we do explain that to our kids someday????

We have a great dog park here in East Lansing. It is a great place for off leash fun. It's actually part of the MSU agriculture expo, that doesn't get used very often, except by local dog owners. My two love it, they get to play with other dogs and run like crazy. We usually get there a few times a week, it can get messy when it rains, but they love it and they don't seem to mind how long it takes for me to clean up the car after we leave. Anyway, if you guys are interested in meeting up sometime let us know and we'll get you directions, etc.
The names are kind of a long story, but here is the short version. I lived in Atlanta for 8 years, my wife is from there. I grew up in Flint, MI. I got my first boxer in Atlanta from a breeder in Alabama, his name is Flint. So, I guess he is named after my hometown. My wife decided to go to law school at MSU, so we moved back here 2.5 years ago. We got Georgia from a breeder here in MI back in May and thought that we would give her a nice southern name. So, Flint is from the south and Georgia is from the north. Not too tricky, you just need to know the story.

I love the story of your boxer's names! Ironically, I am also from Flint - and my brother, who lives in Flint, is partially to blame for my boxer mania - he has 2 white girls!
We will definitely have to take you up on the dog park offer one of these days! My husband and I drive to Flint frequently, so perhaps we can do a nice fun potty break in Lansing some time!!!
