Hello, I am new to the site. My fiancé and I have had our rescue boxer, Moxie, for almost a year now. She was 10 months when we adopted her and will be 2 in January. She is my first boxer. I had read all about them before we finally decided to take the plunge with our local boxer rescue group. She is so great in many ways, but we are working through some behavior issues together. I know it isn't all her. It has been frustrating and upsetting at times but I wouldn't trade her for the world. I am hoping to learn from other boxer owners about the best way to deal with her aggression issues toward other dogs and also strangers. Our trainer says she doesn't have any coping skills and low self-esteem. Poor girl. I just don't understand how people can mistreat animals. I am so glad there are forums for boxer lovers!
