Edgar get rough too

My cat, Persephone, loves to be the one to tell Edgar who is boss. He walks past and she is hitting him in the face and hanging off his lips with her teeth. Bad kitty. Most of time this happens in front of me, I fuss at the cat and Edgar just stands there, 9 mos 65 pounds, against a 7 pound kitty. Eventually, he will sneak attack the cat. When I see this I immediately say sit, followed by leave it. I know that they love each other too because he stands over her and licks her ears. Persephone has her own room, mine, and sleeps on the bed. This is the only room Edgar is not really allowed to hang out in. (Kitty was here first and thinks my bed is all hers) He just comes in to tell hubby good morning. I discourage him standing over her. His trainer believes that Edgar thinks the kitty is his. He stands over our feet as well if we are sitting. When she witnessed this she did not think he was being aggressive. We had him neutered last week. I will let you know how he acts with kitty in a few weeks.

Roxy and my cat Rainbow get along really well. They have never hurt each other. Our leave it command is when we say "Be nice" and Roxy will ease up. If you look in my photo gallery, you'll see them together. Don't let Rainbow's expression fool you, because she didn't want to get up and actually stayed there awhile playing. Roxy can get rough with her, but Rainbow knows how to hold her own by smacking her (no claws out) and Roxy will back up. We introduced them right away and we always keep a close eye on them. (Mainly because they can take out a table or two.) Now they are the best of friends.

My Cat Sook was almost 12 years old when we brought Ali home. Sook keeps his distance but wouldn't stand for any rough stuff. My cat is not big on sleeping on my lap or anything, he just likes to do his own stuff so that kinda works out fine. Ali will try to get his food but I keep it up on the freezer and cats are pretty smart when it comes to fooling dogs, I find. He looks down on Ali from the freezer as if to say -hahahaha- gotta ya.

Cooper LOVES to chase Jedi our 2 year old cat... We use the 'leave it' command. Jedi is getting more and more brave, now that Cooper glares at her from afar, but every now and then, he will take off after her. I think you should try the 'leave it'. Or, keep a tin coffee can with some pennies in it handy... if you see your pup go after the cat, give it a quick shake and then a 'leave it'...

Falko is almost 6 months old, and our boy kitty is 9 months old. Cody (kitty) just got neutered last week and were told to keep him seperate from the other animals for about 5 days to make sure nothing "bad" happens.
There have been so close, and played every single second prior to "surgery"
During those 5 days of seperation, it was the hardest time for Falko. He would wander through the house crying and searching out the kitty. It was too funny upon re-uniting them with each other. Falko just loves him, and Cody certainly lets him know when enough is enough. The other 2 cats have told Falko long ago that they will not tolerate his playfulness with them. hee hee!
