Boxer is Peeing in Sleep

My 2 year old boxer Kaiser was recently neutered. He went in on a Friday and I picked him up the next morning (saturday). By Wednesday evening he was sneezing and hacking alot. By thursday my 10 week old Khloe was doing the same. I took them both to the vet the next 10 days. The vet informed me that he (and she at this point) may have a touch of kennel cough and some kind of cold. I was given Clavamox for Kaiser. I began giving him the medicine that day (tuesdsay). Tuesday night though we woke up to Kaiser licking profusely only to find a huge area of pee. It was clear he had peed on himself while sleeping. Thurday night he did the same.

Kaiser has never had any kind of issues like this. He does not have accidents and holds his pee for long periods of time all the time. I am concerned it may have something to do with the drug given only because we did not have the issue until he was given the antibiotic.

Has anyone ever had this happen with Clavamox?? Could this be something caused by he neutering?? Any help would be great.

I've don't remember having any of my dogs this med, but I looked up the side effects online and incontinence was not listed anywhere as a side effect. There could be a couple of things going on. He may have a UTI (Urinary tract infection). Between surgery and kennel cough his immune system maybe stretched a little thin. After surgery did he have any pain meds? Certain pain meds (rimadyl for one) can have an adverse effect on kidneys. I would give my vet a call. I know the last thing you want is more vet bills. Sending Kaiser healthy ((vibes))!

I had a Rotti that had a bout of peeing during sleep and it turned out to be a UTI. I would suggest having the vet check for that.
