Boxer for adoption in Alabama

I am in Mobile too, my neighborhood encourages you to build a fence if you have a dog. You sure don't want him out running around. What part of Mobile do you live in? City or county?
Maybe you should check into moving to another part of town.
That is just heartbreaking. Poor Tank!

Thanks for all the input on Tank. Yes I still have him. He is part of the family and this is very hard to do, if I can bring myself to do it at all. Where I live is very strict on what you can and cannot do. We are not allowed to have a fence. Tank is also an alfa male and very jealous,so I don't know how he would do with other dogs. We have dogs and on the most part he is ok but every once in a while he jumps on my shepherd. He does'nt hurt her he grabs a hold of her with his paws and gets on top of her it scares her to death. I love him very much.I have spoken to someone in rescue and they are full. I will be very discearning who adopts tank. I would like to see him go to a home where he would be the only Dog. He loves cats and kids and is a big clown.Believe me I will check references. I live in Mobile Alabama.

I still have Tank. I haven't been able to part with him. I haven't found any one that I've talked too that i thought would be a good match.I will keep him untill I know in my heart he will be treated like he deserves.Love my boy!!

Good to hear you are looking out for Tank's best interest with screening his new owners (if that happens.) I dont know the whole story but are you possibly getting rid of him because you want him outdoors and dont have a fence and aren't able to have a fence? Or is it the problems with him and your other dog? I was going to say if it's the outdoor thing, you should be able to take him on walks and get more excercise now with the warmer weather. And boxers are inside dogs anyway for the most part so that shouldn't really be a problem either. Hope things work out for the best, sounds like you really dont want to let Tank go which is good.

Interested in Tank

Hello! Are you still trying to find Tank a home? Our boxer, Joe, passed away in October. We had him for 10 years and he was our "only child" for 6. He became a wonderful companion for our daughter (now 3). While we can never replace Joe, we are slowly getting past the grief and starting our search for another companion. We would possibly be interested.

They would have to meet at a public place that the both knew in their area first. It's just like when we set up playdates in the Boxer Bash and Events forum. Meet at a dogpark and leave the address of that and a time to be there. Does that make sense? Hope I answered your Question.
