boxer calendars in Walmart?

My 12 year old daughter went to Walmart last night with one
of her friends and came home so excited. She had foud a boxer
calendar for 2004 and purchased it for me (knowing that I looove
boxers!) Well I was so excited I could hardly wait to rip the
cardboard and plastic covering off to see the beautiful pictures.
Well you can imagine my surprise to see pictures of big, clumsy,
ugly, dogs that resemble a boxer about as much as my cat!
How and why would someone devote their attention to producing
a boxer calendar and simply not know what a boxer looks like?
Oh well, I guess that's how they wound up in Wal-mart!! So...
just a warning. If you see this 2004 boxer calendar in Wal-mart
save your money!!!

I know that BrownTrout makes great calendars - and I don't say that just because my guys are in it!!!

Wow, that is pretty sad. I say false advertisement, huh.:o

Kysha: I did not know your guys are in BrownTrout, that is the only brand calendar I buy. Are they in it every year? You have famous good-looking boys.

I saw a boxer calendar at wally world(in Danville) that had pretty(not beautiful) boxers on the back(preview), but didn't buy it. I wonder if it's the same one? Did your calendar feature 'boxers' with all the dogs having natural ears? Because if so, then it's the same calendar.. I plan to look for one at the little calendar store that sets up in the mall every year(if the mall isn't closed by christmas, the way it's going). By the way loveboxers, I sent you a pm!

I have the calendar that you posted in the first link. I did not know that Tegan and Owen were in it. I am so excited. Oh, and I bought that one at Walmart. I will have to go home tonight and look at it again.

confused!

O.k. guys. Now I am really confused. The calendar that my
daughter purchased for me at Wal-mart has the name Plato
calendars on the back but also says browntrout.com on the back.
The calendar that i have is not the calendar that has Teegan and
Owen pictured. All of the boxers on the link that you gave are
beautiful. I am sooooo confused ? How could this be??

What does the cover of your calendar look like?

The calendar that I have is not pictured under the link that you
gave for Brown Trout publishers. The front of the cover has
a dog which is huge and looks like a cross between a great-dane
and a st. bernard laying in the sand. Yes Paige, all of the "boxers" have natural ears but most of them simply look like
mixed breed dogs. Could this be another publisher trying to
profit from using Brown Trout name?
