The Boxer Bunch helped find a home with one of their own, for the white deaf male that was on death row at the pound. Now we need to find a home for a 2 year old spayed brindle female Boxer that was pulled from the pound in November. The home that she was originally placed in didn't work out, and she has been returned to our doorstep. She does not get along with other females. She should get along with other males as long as they are not overly aggressive or overly territorial of their space. If anyone is interested in her in our general area, please PM me. We will do an interview and a home check. Thanks

Just a side note---it has become very apparent that this female can NOT be placed in a home with any other animals. She does wonderful with people and loves children. But when any other dog comes near her, even males, she wants to fight with them. Some friends stopped by today and they were interested in her and we tried to introduce her to their male Boxer on neutral territory. And she wasn't having any of that! The male Boxer was very friendly to her, but she wanted to fight from the get go. Strangely---she does get along with our male, and that is how we are letting them out into the yard together. Her and our male go out together and then come in and our two girls then go out together. The girls do NOT like her and she does not care for them. We are playing musical Boxers until we find this girl a home.

It's too bad she dosen't get along with other dogs because I want a brindle female so much. I hope you can find her a good home. I will ask around to see if anyone is looking for a beautiful boxer girl:)

Thanks Robyn! I hope we can find her a home. She deserves it, it looks like she has had a very hard life. When she was being spayed our vet noticed that her muzzle had been tied shut for quite some time while she was growing because she has a very deep scarred cut across the underside of her muzzle that actually cuts her hanging flews apart. When she was pulled from the pound and with us the first time, before she was placed in a home for a month, she was not too bad with other dogs. We first kept the dogs seperated for about a week, but they could still see and smell each other, then we turned her out with my ( then two Boxers, now three) and they tolerated each other fine. When we found her a home, we introduced that new male Boxer to her for about a week and exchanged blankets that the two dogs slept on and etc. After a month, she was returned to us, because they started fighting with each other and both her and the male are neutered and spayed. Now, her wanting to fight is SERIOUS. She will need someone to spend time and redirect her behaviour for the rest of her life with Obedience classes and socializing with other dogs positively. And it won't be safe for her to live with any other animals.
Although, her and my male are bouncing around in the backyard playing right now----it's a mystery. Maybe it's because he's just sooo handsome.
