I'm in Bergen Ccounty, NJ....I'm thinking that's pretty far, considering I really don't even know where Warren County is!! :)

Bergen county isnt really that far depending on what far means for you. Its about 45 minutes away. Deinitely worth boxer bashing. We just have no parks here so im desperate to meet some people and of course some boxers!

hmmm...possibly we could meet in the middle somewhere? I don't really have a lot of park by me either - we'd have to find one that's convenient for us both, I guess. The only park by me that allows dogs has been known to be a tad on the dangerous side...
would after the holidays work better?
how old is yours? :D

We're in Ocean County! The only thing is Butch isn't neutered so most dog parks won't allow him to go. :(
I would travel as long as it's not crazy far away.

Another boxer in New Jersey

Hello there;

Just reading around and bumped into this thread. Still new to all of this. We're here in GLoucester Cnty. - no dog parks around :( Will see what kind of gathering can be managed in the spring (whenever it cycles in). There are a few Jersians introducing themselves in the intro forum. Hopefully they will find their way to this forum. Looking forward to some open space and warm sun and wiggling teenage pups. We have found that ages mix well as long as the collisions can be overted. We don't mind travelling...Dakota rides well in the car.

Maybe there are some dog parks in the tri-sate area?

Hi all

We're in Mercer County. There are a few parks (4) in the area that I can think of. One is an old play ground that I found by accident. One is a Pay park. The one in Mercer County Park if I remember doesn't care about spay or nueter, just no "heat" please. Same goes for the one in Veterans Park which has Equipment for the dogs to play around. Though the Veterans Park park in being worked on as of the middle of Jan. but should be fine come the warmer weather.

One day we can set aside is the weekend of May 5-7 (or there abouts), The Trenton Kennel Club has an AKC Dog Show which is held outdoors at Mercer County Park. I was only able to see the last few groups last year, this year I plan on being there for a whole lot more.

My fiance and I recently moved back home to Pittsburgh. While we lived in Medford, NJ we took Skyler to Freedom Dog Park in Medford and it is beautiful there. Also on Saturday mornings the boxers got together. Just an FYI for the Jersians.

Hello New Jersey!

I just joined BW and am very happy to have found this thread. Charlie and I live in Gloucester County. There aren't any dog parks that I have found in Gloucester County yet. But, there is a park in Camden County at the Cooper River Park and I hear there is a park in Vorhees somewhere. Also, K J's Dad is right about the dog park in Veterans Park. It's very nice. I used to live around the corner from the park. It's about 45 minutes up I-295 from Woodbury in Gloucester County.

I just found this website about dog parks in New Jersey. It doesn't list all the parks in NJ, but the list might help those to the north a little.

Charlie is a little over 6 months old now. We got him in Deptford, NJ. We picked him from two litters of boxers. I know his puppy brothers and sisters are running around South Jersey. If any of you are out there, let me know.
