Hi Everyone-
This is my first time on boxerworld. We have our baby, Kaya. She goes to the Citrus Heights park all the time. She is 11 months, and can't wait till Sept. 22nd. I just have one question, what time is the bash on the 22nd?

Hi there.

Welcome to Boxerworld!! :D I'm so glad that I happened to see your post. I've probably met you and your baby, Kaya. Her name sounds familiar. Were you at the dog park on August 5th when there were 20 boxers there? I was there with my little baby Stella who is 4 months old. Our boy, Chewy was sick that day and couldn't come with us, but we have brought him back to the Citrus Heights dog park a couple of times, and it seems there are always lots of boxers there.

The bash on Sept 22 will be at 11am. Click on the link below and it will take you to the original thread when we were planning it. The address of the Carmichael dog park is on page 2 of the thread in one of my posts, and you'll need to scroll about half way down page 2 to find it. Also, while you are looking at this thread, click on the blue button that says post reply. Then just post any kind of reply at all - even just say "Hi" or something. Then, whenever new info gets added, you will be notified. This way, you'll always hear about any bashes we organize. For instance, I'm thinking about trying to organize one for Sept 7th or 8th. Anyway, let me know if you have any trouble at all finding all the info, and keep in mind that the Sept 22 bash will not be at the Citrus Heights dog park - it will be at the Carmichael dog park.

Hello!

Roxie and I welcome you to BW as well! (We are newcomers too!) We go to the Citrus Heights park all of the time and I remember Kaya. I am planning on meeting up with everyone on the 22nd of September, but we are totally interested in an earlier bash on the 7th or 8th as well! I'll stay tuned for the specific date and time and look forward to hopefully seeing you all then!

Take care ~

Hi,
We are so excited about Sept. 22. I didn't get to go the the park for the first one. Kaya went for a little while but had to leave early because she wasn't feeling well.
We should have one sooner than the 22nd. The 7th or 8th sounds great. I will check the other sight and see what is going on.

Kaya LOVES Roxie!!! The other night they played for hours. It is so fun to watch them play together.

Hope to see you soon.

Bye,
Rachel

Hello!

I think we are having another "party" on Saturday the 7th at 6:00 PM - at the C Bar C park!
I know the Roxie sure loves playing with Kaya too. My husband told me all about it! I have only been back once since then for Roxie has had a limp since that evening. I took her a few days later, thinking she looked OK, but when we got back home the limp was back. (I feel like a horrible mom!!) We can't tell if it is in her shoulder or paw and although it doesn't seem to be hindering her activity a bit, we may have to make a visit to the vet if it doesn't go away soon. :(
Take care and hopefully we'll see you on Saturday!

Hi,
Oh I hope Roxy is okay, her and Kaya were playing pretty hard together. Did you have to take her to the vet? I hope she can make it on the 7th.

Kaya went to the park yesterday she had so much fun. She did hurt herself, she ran smack into a tree with her neck. I think it just scarred her because she seems to be fine.

Hope to see you soon,
Rachel

Hi Rachel!

Unfortunately, we won't be able to make it to the park on the 7th. I am so bummed for we were looking forward to it. We ended up taking Rox to the vet yesterday and the Dr. attributed her limp to "growing pains" and said to keep her on very limited activity for a week. (Not easy for a puppy! Poor thing.) The limp is most noticable right when she gets up from napping and is stiff, but it goes away as she walks it out. I did not know growing pains could last this long and he actaully has me wondering.... I suppose I am just over-worrying, but she's my baby. We'll see how things go!
I know she misses her playmates at the park so hopefully we'll be back soon! Rox sends her puppy kisses to Kaya ~

Hi Jen,

I hope Roxie is feeling better. Growing pains, Oh the poor baby. I know what you mean about her being your baby. We are the same way with Kaya. Sometimes I think we feel worse than she does when she is sick or hurt.
Well at least it is only growing pains and not something major. We sure did miss her on Saturday. Kaya had a great time, there were about 9 or 10 boxers. Are you going to be able to make it to the one on the 22nd? I sure hope Roxie is feeling better by then.

Tell Roxie, Kaya says "Hi and she misses her".

Bye,
Rachel

Welcome, and some friendly advice

Welcome to Boxerworld. :)
Obviously the other folks who responded to this knew where Citrus Heights park was.
For the rest of us, it would be helpful if you would put the location in the title of your thread, especially since Boxerworld has members from all over the world.
Thanks. ;)
