I just ran into this thread.... I will definetely be checking into the boxer bash, but just for anyone's information, if you live in MA, it is hard to find a dog friendly place. I found Callahan State Park in Framingham has an area that a lot of people bring their dogs to... although not fenced in, there is a rather large open area with a pond that many dogs find a blissful experience.... the park also has lots of trails to walk through. Also, I think in Grafton, Tufts Vet Students are helping to make a fenced-in dog park... they have been trying to raise 10,000 dollars for a few years, and I have heard the "building" is on the way. Maybe in the future that area could be a secured site for a boxer-bash!!! (just thinking)

SOBE thats definetly something to keep in mind for next year :)

Fenced in dog parks are very hard to find but I know of plenty of good off leash places for walking dogs, if your interested in places in the Stow/Acton/Lincoln area let me know and I will fill you in. I also know of a great place in the Cambridge area. None of them are fenced in but provided your dog will stay with you they are good fun places :)

Although I now life in Florida, my ALL TIME favorite dog park is still in MA! It is called Stodders Neck and it is in Hingham, just outside of Quincy/Weymouth on 3A. There is only one entrance/exit, a parking area when you drive in and then a fence that enters you to a WONDERFUL huge park surrounded by the ocean on three sides (so no need for a fence). There is a sand road that walks you around the entire park! Its a great opportunity for off leash fun for all the pups!

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your bash! Anyone who reads this and is around this area should definitely go..its worth the trip!

Well, I think I have learned from the previous postings there are not really a lot of dog friendly areas in the New England area. (although the one near the ocean sounds cool!) I am just so amazed that where I live, central MA, does not have ONE enclosed area for dog frolicking. (although I am not so completely surprised, because there is not enough funds to keep the pools open for the children) I wish there were more areas for "dog-events" like the boxer bash. I think there are a lot of boxers in Texas, and events there, thousands of posts there............. mmmmmmm. maybe too many, I'll just stay here in New England with my boxers. (my boxers know the snow)
thanks , all!
