Yoda had a very traumatizing experience last weekend, and I wound up in the ER!
Myself and both my dogs (boxer and great dane) were all in the kitchen by the table. My kitchen chairs are metal and the backs are made up of poles that are wide at the top and extremely narrow at the bottom. Well, I'm not 100% on how it happened, but I'm pretty sure my boxer was jumping up on the back of the chair to see what I was doing on the table and my dane (who is very large compared to my boxer) I think backed into him or something and the next thing I know my boxer is on his back with his front paw stuck on the very narrow end of the chair with the chair on top of him. Well, I immediately ran over and tried to get his paw out with my right hand and with my left trying to hold the chair still so it wouldn't keep moving and hurting him. As I'm doing that my boxer attacks my right thumb tearing it to shreads. I'm grateful my husband was there because he was the one that got the paw out, but he had to use both his hands!! I wouldn't stop trying to free his paw till my husband actually freed it, so when I pulled away, and the dog was free, my right thumb was a bloody mess, there was dog waste sprayed all over the floor and even into my living room, which just shows how distressed my poor little guy was! The hospital would not stitch my wound because they advised if you get bit my an animal or human on the hand there's a high risk of infection, but almost one week later I see my finger heeling up well! And, my dog is fine! I thought for sure it would be a trip to the Vet ER, but he was fine, just a little shaken!

. After controlling my fits of laughter I told them it was a 3 month old puppy. They came to the home, as per procedure, also had a giggle, however Buddy too had to be placed under a 10 day quarantine and then revisited by the Health Authorities. I also had to show proof of needles etc., one good reason to keep up with your pets immunizations
