bouncing growling boxer

i have a 1 year old male boxer..... every once and a while, out of no where, he'll just start bouncing and bobbing back and forth while making his funny growling noise.. not his serious growl that seems too come from his stomach... is this a behavioral problem in the making or is this just boxer play

It is just a Boxer thing!! They are all bouncy and growly and vocal!! I love when Muggsey does that kind of stuff, it makes me laugh and I always call him a Silly Boxer!!

My first boxer "growled" constantly, especially when she was excited or happy to see you. Anyone new to her was always nervous, thinking she was actually growling. They didn't realize she was letting them know she wanted pets from them.
