Hi everyone,

We rescued a 1 year old male Boston Terrier last nite. We have a our male boxer, Harley who is 6 years old, that is very laid back. The BT will not leave hom alone keeps licking his hiney and cleaning his ears and humping him to death. The BT is not fixed and that is the first appointment I will be making this morning!! Harley has corrected him a couple of times by growling and putting him in his place. Should I let nature just put the pecking order in place?? My question is will the behavior sub side when I get the BT fixed?? Harley is looking at me like MOM why have you upset my perfect little world here?? Other than that they play together great.

Thanks
Nikki

The neutering might help, but I think time will be a bigger factor. This is all new to the Boston yet. Once the newness wears off. he will probably settle down, a little. Boston's tend to be a lot like Boxers in that they have a lot of energy sometimes, and major couch potatoes at other times. Does your Boston have a name yet?

Boston are quite handful. Fixing should help. Is there way a to send PM.s here, I can give you a link to a Boston terrier site that might be very helpful. I would aslo crate train him so that you dog can have some alone time.

Hi,
The couple that we got him from named him Tyson so we decided to keep it. It seems that the ear licking and other things that were annoying Harley are starting to fade away. Actually, Tyson is coming out of his shell and quite the character! He sleeps in his crate beside our bed and will sleep thru the whole nite. I am so happy that we got him!! He is a doll!
