That makes me so mad! My Frank was so small when he came home at 8 weeks I cannot imagine taking him at 5 weeks! That is sooooo wrong! :(

You said the breeder told you that their dew claws had been removed but not the tails? That's actually correct. Boston Terriers are born without tails.

I just reread this! LOL! My Boston must be a freak o' nature (joking) He has a full little pig tail that he was born with (about 3-4 inches long if it was extended). So is this really true? Are they supposed to be born with no tail? Or is Frank "special" ;) I am being dead serious here, I am really confused! BTW Did anyone notice this was an old post?

tail

I wouldn't say NO tail. "Stub" tail would be more accurate. However, they are born with tails from time to time. When we got Chelsea , one of her littermates had a longer tail. Chelsea just had the "stub" tail

My bt baby is so sweet and playful and loving. He was born with a tiny nub and that is it. I never see it moving really. He plays with the boxers like he is a big dog. He has two luxated patellas so we calm him down alot. They are the greatest and love to play constantly. I have never seen a dog he didn't like and some he liked a little too much. He is great and smart. My boxers love their little bt friend very much and so do we

my bossies tail

I've got a little 1 y.o boston terrier, Polly Esther. She's just got a little nubbin of a tail, it's crooked and doesn't wag, except when she see's her daddy and then it just slowly moves from side to side. She's so rotten and LOUD. She and my 1 y.o boxer, Leiloo make such an interesting looking couple.

pig tails

I have 2 BTs...sisters from separate litters. Sadie has a little cork-screw piggy tail (I should've named her "Babe") while Lulu has a rather long-ish tail! It's really funny to see such a difference! Sadie's does move back-n-forth with her entire (rather large!) butt, while Lulu's goes in all directions at top speed. Somehow Lulu seems like a much happier dog. I wonder if that's just because we're able to "see" her happiness from the tail wagging while you need to stare at Sadie to see the wag; or is she really happier because she DOES have a tail? lol
Anyway, love my BTs! Can't beat the size, personality or gas!! But I'm sure my new Grandpuppy boxer will give them a run for the money!

oh the gas

Oh the gas is terrible...between the two of them I'm scared of open flame! At least there's always SOMEONE to blame the smell on. Enjoy the Grandbaby boxer, they are such a neat mix with the BT's. I always say the "Polly and Leiloo show is always better than anything on tv."
