My 9 month old boxer has plenty of attention and tons of toys to play with outside. She asks to go out and loves to be outside. The problem is that she destroys everything. She bent to rebar on the fence to my garden just to get to the place markers and now I don't know where I planted anything. She ate my lilac bush and our pear tree. What do I do?

I wouldn't let her outside for any length of time unsupervised. Other than letting her out to potty (still keeping an eye on her), I leash her whenever she's outside. Hopefully it's a phase and she'll learn what is and is not appropriate outside behavior. That said, she's a Boxer and I've learned not to get too attached to any landscaping!

I can empathize with you! Our pup has destroyed several new bushes/trees that we planted this spring. There is one that looks so funny cause it has new leaves on half of the branches and the othe branches are chewed all to heck. I tried to tell my husband not to put too much $ or attention on the back yard cause the dogs would destroy it but........ Finally I think he gets it and as far as I'm concerned the back yard is the dogs domain and being boxers there's two things you will have... BIG holes and chewed plants
