Has anyone ever visited Bora Bora in the Tahitian Islands? I have been dying to go there for years to surf the amazing swells and relax in one of those over-the-water bungalows. Every picture I've seen from this resort village is absolutely breathtaking. I do know that it will be about $4,000 USD per person for a week. Anyone have any experiences they'd like to share??

I was palnning on going there for my honeymoon however I just couldn't bring myself to pay almost $9,000 for 1 week. However once I win the lottery I am planning a trip right away!!!!

That is my dream trip!!! Bora bora is gorgeous!!!!!

I also want to go to Tahiti

I think you have to go to Papeete (Tahiti's capital, and also capital of French Polynesia) if you want to go to Bora Bora. On top at http://www.spaceimaging.com/gallery/top1001/bora_bora_10_25_01.jpg you can see the airport (see the photo in real size). I would be surprised if a big airplane could land there.

Bora Bora has always been a dream place for me ... I plan on going there sometime in my life ... when? I have no idea. The pictures just amaze me! Those bungalows in the water amaze me, as well! I like how there is that glass bottom thing so you can see down below. Everything about that place is just gorgeous!

I am jealous of anyone who has been there before!
