booties or wax

I just bought NIna her 1st pair of booties....and she just bites at them....LOLI think I got a pair just a bit small so i might have to exchange them for a bigger pair.
Now,....at the store they told me that some dogs just HATe boots and beacuse our winters are so BAD on the dogs feet she suggested i get a wax for her feet....Its what dogs that do sledding use....and its suppost to be a berrier against tha snow and salt...since oil/grease and water dont mix...and therfore the feet will stay warm...and not freeze
Has anyone here tried this?and if so what did you like and dislike about it...they also had a spray

I would be interested to. Zeke HATES his boots. When I put them on he acts like his feet are cemented to the ground. If I don't put them on his legs get red and crack and bleed. He wants to go out and play but, I don't want his paws getting cracked.

Did you see this wax at the petstore?

So do you just spray it on the paws? How long does it last? Never heard of this before could be something useful.

We have Paw Wax for Saffie, we put it on before every walk! she used to bit her feet in the winter but stopped since we started using the wax. It kinda looks like lip balm except thicker. oh and it stops he sliding about on the wooden floor too!
