Please think of Boomer today and cross your fingers (and paws) that everything goes ok for him. We took him to the vet last night to get a few lumps he had checked out and the vet said they need to be cut out (just as I thought). I dropped him off about 1 hour ago...poor baby was very scared..shook all the way there in the car.
The good news is that the vet said they don't look serious, but cause he's a boxer we're not going to mess around..they're coming off.

He is at an additional risk from the surgery because of his heart condition (cardiomyopathy)...hopefully it will all go well. Please think of him.
I'll let you know how he is after I pick him up.

Boomer is home again..

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers...Boomey is home now and all is ok. He had one lypoma(sp.?) - a fatty lump, one cyst and one wart removed...nothing serious!
I'm very glad!
The vet said he was a wonderful patient and very well behaved. angelicon
The only problem he had was about three hours after surgery one of the wounds started bleeding..it seems he has a problem with blood clotting. Apparently this is not uncommon in older dogs (Boom is about 8 1/2). Cause of this his stitches will need to be in for three weeks as the wounds may take longer to heal then normal.

He's a bit quiet but very glad to be home!

Thanks again everyone :)

Hi glad to hear your boy is doing well. It is a worry for us when they are getting on a bit. Gus (nearly 12) was in a couple of months ago getting 5 lumps removed. The vet said he'll be a bit off when I pick him up. He bounced out the vets, couldn't wait to get home.
