:( Oh my goodness!! I'm soo sorry to hear about your baby blue. How's she doing? I agree with all thats already been said. Do file a complaint w/ animal control, but also file a written statement with your local police dept. Everytime you see that dog, if it's not obeying every single "doggy law" there is, call the P.D. and let them know. I know our town if very strict with dog laws, like dog at large, no city tags, no leash, etc. Have you given the other owner the bill yet? What happened after the attack? Best of luck to you. Poor Blue, and you must have been scared to death too! We have a pit down the street, I always avoid going that way. There are a few dogs in the neighbourhood that I don't trust so I don't go that way. So many times my hubby and I have put ourselves in between the dogs so they can't bite ours:rolleyes: I am sick of it too. All you want to do is talk a nice walk. I would call the authorities etc what if you would have had a small child with you? or yourself for that matter? this could have tramatized you! This guy shud at least foot the bills. and make sure his dog is always tied up and muzzled. The pit down the street came after my guys one day and the son managed to catch him, his teeth were going just like a piranah (sp) my legs were shaking so much. Hope Blue is okay!

Another Update
I'm new here but you guys are great! Blue thanks you for all your prayers, concern, and stories. At least I don't feel like I'm the only one that has fallen victim to this.
Blue had the drain taken out her chest yesterday and it seems to be healing nice. BUT she's been sneezing alot and making weird noises like she's trying to clear her chest or nose. Its weird she never did this before the incident. But the vet says its just allergies. Hmmmm. Blue is back to her hyper sweet self. She's mad she can't run off the leash but we still manage to have a lil fun
The guy was pretty mad I called animal control, because they quarantined his dog and will neuter him. He feels like I shoudl have just handled this with him w/o animal control so he could continue to breeding his dog. What an ass!! He also thinks the vet care was ridiculously over-priced. BUT he says he will check on the price from my vet and work out a payment plan w/ me by tomorrow.
So by tomorrow I should know if he means what he says. I'll keep you posted.

I am so proud that this jerk got what he deserved. I hope that he does not try to retailiate. Keep a close eye out for him. I would not walk past his place any more. I do not trust him.

Yay iBoxer and DOUBLE YAY'S for Blue! Hope this guy pays you, if not there is an attorney in the yellow pages who will be more than happy to assist in recouperating your money AND pain and suffering!!

Another update
Blue's doing great!! She's back to playing fetch and sprinting in circles around the yard. In another week we'll start going back to the dog park too. Hopefully she still likes other dogs.
The owner agreed to reimburse me for my expenses over the next 2 weeks and Animal Control will neuter his dog (and possiblly put him down according to the owner, but I think he is just being over-dramatic, I've never heard of this happening on a first offense).
