We're about to switch our 1-year old rescue boxer from Bil-Jac to a higher quality food. Bil-Jac is what her foster parents were feeding her so we wanted to keep her on it initially to lessen the stress of a new home.

Now that she's been with us for a month we'd like to get her on something better. We're thinking of Blue Buffalo. I checked www.dogfoodanalysis.com and it's a 4-star food...which is pretty good. Even better, it's carried by a local pet store so we won't have to mail-order it.

Does anybody have any first hand experience with Blue Buffalo positive or negative?

thanks...

I had Precious on their puppy chicken and brown rice for 2 months. She did really well on it and never had any ill effects.

Kirby Kirb

Boxer Insane
Both my boys are on it right now, its been about 2 months. They absolutley love it, and I love how much it has improved there coat, eyes, and my pugs energy level. He is more willing to eat his meals, and has more energy to play and keep up with Kirby. They are on the salmon and sweet potatoe, and I sometimes mix a little wet buffalo in it for a treat! It smells yummy!! :) I would recomend it.

blue buffalo

Just recently put my Sammy on this and he is doing well. He will turn 1 next month so he is on the adult chicken and brown rice. Just would like to find something that will really fatten him up. He is 54 lbs but I know he still has some growing to do!

Abbey's Mom

Boxer Booster
At 8 mos. Abbey was on Blue Buffalo Lamb & Rice for adults. She liked it well enough, but seemed to be getting bored as we neared the 30lb. mark. She still has a bit of it left, but we rotated to Innova Puppy. Since she is having a lot of eye booggers (suspect a chicken or turkey allergy) I may switch again, but I'm not sure since it may be due to a low quality canned food that I gave her in a pinch. I would definitely rotate back to Blue Buffalo without hesitation.

Chicken and rice formula

Hi. I recently had Moose to the vet for some bald patches. Turned out to be demodex. He suggested switching from Eukanuba which I had been feeding him to the Blue Buffalo brand to try and see if this will boost his immune system to fight off that nasty demodex. The first time I fed it too him he scarfed it down so fast I couldn't believe it. He really loves it, and slowly but surely his bald patches are filling in nicely, and his coat is shinier! Yahoo!
